Our client, a leading group of companies, is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Taxation & Legal Manager to join their head office team located near Shahrah-e-Faisal, Karachi.

This is a critical role where the selected candidate will oversee tax operations for multiple entities, ensuring accurate reporting, full compliance with relevant laws, and effective coordination with junior staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Tax Planning & Compliance: Develop and implement tax strategies to minimize liabilities while ensuring legal compliance. Prepare and review corporate income tax returns and related filings. Oversee tax provision and compliance processes for both direct and indirect taxes. Prepare and review tax reconciliations and documentation for audits. Ensure timely and accurate filing of income tax and sales tax returns. Maintain documentation required for tax audits. Collaborate cross-functionally to maintain tax compliance and identify potential tax risks.
  • Tax Advisory & Support: Provide expert tax-related advice to management and various departments. Support day-to-day operations with tax guidance. Assist with tax audits and handle special tax-related projects as needed.
  • Tax Law Monitoring & Implementation: Stay up to date with legislative and regulatory tax developments. Communicate relevant changes and their business implications to the team and leadership. Develop and implement strategies to take advantage of tax law changes. Update processes and procedures in accordance with evolving regulations.
Requirements
  • Member of a professional body or MBA in finance from reputable universities.
  • Possess 8-10 years of experience in handling group direct and indirect taxation.
  • Ability to manage taxation matters independently and meet tax filing deadlines.
