Job Title: Tax Manager

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering a full range of tax services in compliance with laws and regulations within the set timeframe. This includes providing innovative tax planning, reviewing complex income tax returns, managing tax provision and tax compliance processes, and improving processes by developing or implementing best practices.

Key responsibilities include managing and coordinating tax audits, maintaining tax balances on the general ledger, preparing all tax papers on a regular basis, handling all information data requests, and ensuring an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end close.

Additionally, the ideal candidate will assist the Controller in daily banking requirements, ensure the timely processing of positive pay transactions, and perform Bank Compliance activities in a timely and accurate manner.

The role also involves supporting budget and forecasting activities, monitoring and analyzing department work to develop more efficient procedures and use of resources while maintaining a high level of accuracy, responding to inquiries from Directors and other finance and firm regarding financial results, special reporting requests, and the like.

Responsibilities also include supervising the general ledger group to ensure all financial reporting deadlines are met, providing training to new and existing staff as needed, working with each direct report to establish goals and objectives for each year, and monitoring and advising on progress to enhance professional development of staff.

Furthermore, the successful candidate will be responsible for the preparation of the monthly financial reports, preparing monthly forecasting and budgeting for Sales, Receivables, Payables, and Cash Flow, verifying daily and monthly data entries and their reconciliations for the general ledger, tracking performance against budget and forecasts, and explaining variances.

The ideal candidate will also manage stock-related reports, verify stocks monthly, oversee month-end close process and compliance with close schedule, prepare, review, and approve general ledger journal entries, reconcile Accounts Receivable and Bank Statements on a monthly basis, design and implement new forms, formats, and systems in terms of managing expenses, manage the general ledger system, maintain practice management system, and design enhancements for improving its performance, and assist in gathering data and preparing schedules, coordinate and lead special projects.
