1. Ensure implementation of SOPs in the dialysis unit and nephrology, monitor quality assurance and infection control standards.
2. Manage hemodialysis machines to provide adequate dialysis treatment for patients with kidney failure.
3. Explain dialysis procedures and operation of hemodialysis machines to patients before treatment.
4. Manage and monitor patients for adverse reactions during dialysis.
5. Advise patients on nutrition and dietary schedules during dialysis.
6. Ensure the quality of water purification systems (R.O. plant) used for hemodialysis.
7. Prepare and implement SOPs for renal dialysis.
8. Conduct nephrology assessments, including medication types, presenting symptoms, and medical conditions.
9. Manage equipment and instruments, ensuring regular maintenance and optimal working condition.
10. Manage patients' hematologic abnormalities and adjust erythropoietin dosing under nephrologist supervision.
11. Monitor patients' monthly labs, follow up, and adjust medications accordingly under nephrologist supervision.
12. Safeguard all dialysis unit accessories.
13. Accurately collect and report data (vital signs, weight) and observe patient conditions, reporting changes to staff.
14. Treat patients politely, answer questions patiently, and guide them properly.
15. Regularly check equipment for accuracy and report faults.
16. Participate in developing patient care plans.
17. Monitor dialysis adequacy and access site conditions (AVF, AVG).
18. Ensure proper handling and non-misuse of equipment.
19. Maintain cleanliness of dialysis equipment and room, similar to ICU standards.
20. Ensure regular maintenance of the water treatment plant.
21. Verify patients' viral and HIV status before dialysis; dialyze infected patients on separate machines.
22. Monitor prescribed dialysis dose, dry weight, anticoagulation, and ultrafiltration according to patient status.
23. Perform any other duties assigned by the nephrologist.
