About this position:

Based in Lahore, this role reports directly to the CFO and offers bright career development opportunities. The position involves managing a team of professionals and overseeing all aspects of finance and accounting.

Required Experience/Responsibilities:

  1. Supervise the Finance & Accounting team to ensure smooth task delivery.
  2. Prepare annual financial statements and quarterly accounts independently.
  3. Maintain good knowledge of bookkeeping, including General Ledger, Trial Balance, and Accounts.
  4. Supervise daily accounting functions, ensuring proper allocation of research project revenues and expenditures in line with funding guidelines and recognized cost principles.
  5. Assist in preparing the company's annual budget and conduct regular performance analysis.
  6. Coordinate with project teams to finalize research grants, project agreements, and budgets.
  7. Ensure proper recording of all research grants, monitor expenses according to approved budgets, and report to donors as per agreements.
  8. Demonstrate a strong understanding of project accounting and reporting.
  9. Ensure timely issuance of invoices and maintain control over receivables.
  10. Record all transactions accurately, including expenses, revenues, and fixed assets.
  11. Liaise with external and internal auditors and lead audit processes.
  12. Maintain good relationships with banks, prepare cash flow statements, and manage liquidity based on working capital needs.
  13. For NPOs, demonstrate strong knowledge of tax laws, SECP compliance, and other relevant regulations.
  14. Supervise payments to ensure timeliness and tax compliance.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  1. CA Inter, ACCA, or Master's in Finance and Accounting.
  2. Up to 8-10 years of relevant experience; experience with NPOs is a plus.
  3. Team player with effective cross-departmental communication skills.
  4. Proficient in English.
  5. Strong analytical skills.
  6. Proficient in MS Excel, financial modeling, and QuickBooks; experience with SAP is an advantage.
