Position Overview

The Junior Production Engineer is responsible for ensuring safe, efficient shift operations (aiming for zero LTI), optimal utilization of resources (people and machinery), and adherence to the production plan.

Core Responsibilities

Process:
  • Post shift production and dispatches in SAP system.
  • Manage manpower requirements for smooth shift operations.
  • Achieve production targets regarding quality and quantity.
  • Prepare shift-wise production reports and mark attendance.
  • Control product losses.
  • Review lab results and instruct operators accordingly.
  • Follow instructions from the Divisional Head.
  • Ensure accurate log sheet entries by operators.
  • Document shift performance in the logbook.
  • Ensure timely procurement of manufacturing materials and supplies.
Quality:
  • Coordinate with Shift Chemist to address in-process non-conformances.
  • Separate different grades of products.
  • Maintain proper functioning of weighing scales.
Maintenance:
  • Monitor process equipment performance.
  • Ensure proper maintenance of equipment.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the section.
  • Liaise with Shift Engineers for plant shutdowns or load shedding adjustments.
Process Improvement:
  • Implement operational improvements and innovations.
  • Continuously seek ways to improve workflows.
  • Apply logical and analytical problem-solving approaches.
  • Study processes and incorporate technological advancements for improvements.
Safety:
  • Ensure safety of products, equipment, and workers during shifts.
  • Enforce PPE usage at all locations.
  • Perform technical work with proper permits.
  • Conduct EHS and production process training sessions.
Mandatory Requirements:
  • B.Sc/B.E in Chemical Engineering with at least 1 year of experience.
  • Good manufacturing literacy.
  • Knowledge of instrumentation and DCS/SLC operations.

  • Strong character and ethics.
  • Mentorship qualities.
  • Positive attitude and proactive approach.
  • Motivator.
Skills and Behaviors:
  • Labor handling skills.
