Description

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented GL Accountant to join our team in the fast-paced telecommunications industry. As a GL Accountant, you will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the company's financial records and provide crucial support in financial reporting and analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Perform month-end and year-end close activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.
  • Analyze financial data, identify discrepancies, and provide recommendations for improvements.
  • Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Collaborate with various departments to ensure proper expense coding and timely recording of transactions.
  • Prepare and submit tax filings and assist with tax compliance activities.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures.
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
  • CPA or progress towards CPA certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in general accounting or similar roles.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
  • Proficient in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
  • Knowledge of telecommunications industry accounting practices is a plus.
