Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Jr. Engineering Manager to join our technical team. The ideal candidate will combine strong architectural expertise with leadership and management capabilities to guide software development projects from start to finish. This role requires designing high-quality software systems while ensuring the successful execution and delivery of projects on time and within scope.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and architecture of scalable, secure, and high-performance software systems, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
• Oversee the full project lifecycle, from initiation to delivery, including managing timelines, resources, and risks.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget, while meeting all business and technical requirements.
• Collaborate with product managers, development teams, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and provide technical solutions.
• Ensure adherence to architectural standards and best practices throughout the software development process.
• Act as the primary point of contact between clients and the development team, managing expectations and ensuring clear communication.
• Monitor project progress and make necessary adjustments to ensure successful project delivery.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and best practices, implementing innovative solutions where applicable.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Technical Expertise:
• Proven experience in software architecture, designing and implementing complex software systems using technologies such as Java, PHP, Python, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Strong understanding of database management, both relational (SQL) and NoSQL, along with microservices and serverless architectures.
• Experience in DevOps practices and tools for continuous integration and deployment.
• At least 3 years of experience managing software development projects, with a proven track record of successfully delivering projects on time and within budget.
• Expertise in Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall methodologies, and proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Jira, Microsoft Project, Trello).
• Ability to manage project scope, resources, timelines, and risks effectively.
• Leadership & Communication:
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to guide teams and stakeholders towards successful project completion.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of translating complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Problem-solving and decision-making skills to overcome challenges and drive project success.
• Educational & Professional Requirements:
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• PMP, Scrum Master, or equivalent project management certifications are a plus.
