Their mission is to lead the global effort in reducing suicide rates and eliminating disability caused by mental health conditions.

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Chartered Accountant to join our rapidly growing US healthcare client, PsychPlus. This is a critical leadership role responsible for overseeing all financial operations, strategy, and performance from our back-office in Karachi, Pakistan. The ideal candidate will be a visionary financial leader with a strong background in the US healthcare sector, specifically within mental health, and a proven ability to manage complex financial landscapes.

Responsibilities:

• Strategic Financial Leadership: Develop and execute financial strategies that support the company's long-term goals and growth objectives in the US healthcare market. Provide strategic recommendations to the CEO.
• Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A): Lead all budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling activities. Develop robust financial models to support new initiatives, partnerships, and market expansions within the US healthcare system.
• Financial Operations Management: Oversee all financial operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and billing. Ensure efficient and accurate financial processes.
• US Healthcare Revenue Cycle Management: Deep understanding and oversight of the US healthcare revenue cycle, including coding, claims submission, denials management, and payer relations for mental health services.
• Reporting & Compliance: Prepare and present comprehensive financial reports to the leadership team and stakeholders. Ensure compliance with all US GAAP, healthcare regulations (e.g., HIPAA, Stark Law, Anti-Kickback Statute), and tax requirements.
• Treasury & Cash Management: Manage cash flow, liquidity, and investments to optimize financial resources. Develop and implement strategies for effective working capital management.
• Risk Management: Identify and mitigate financial risks. Implement strong internal controls and maintain compliance with financial policies and procedures.
• Team Leadership: Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing finance team in Pakistan. Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and professional development.
• Stakeholder Relations: Collaborate effectively with internal departments (operations, clinical, technology) and external stakeholders (auditors, banks, legal counsel).

Qualifications:

• Chartered Accountant (CA) designation is mandatory.
• Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in finance roles, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership position (e.g., CFO, VP Finance) within the healthcare sector.
• Preferred: Demonstrated expertise in US healthcare financial operations, billing, and revenue cycle management, particularly within mental health or behavioral health.
• Strong understanding of US GAAP and healthcare regulatory compliance.
• Proven track record of developing and implementing financial strategies that drive growth and profitability.
• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Advanced proficiency in financial software and ERP systems.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex financial information to diverse audiences.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, remote environment.
