Responsibilities include:
- Carry out the requirements for the Accountancy and Bookkeeping Services, and other financial services purchased by the college.
- Provide a professional accounting and financial management service.
- Assist in the budget preparation, budget forecasts, and closure of accounts processes of the campus.
- Provide regular payroll and budget monitoring, financial control, and advice service.
- Enter the record of students' fees.
- Manage student's fee installments record.
- Manage payroll of campus' teaching and non-teaching staff.
- Document financial transactions by entering account information.
- Summarize current financial status by collecting information, preparing balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports.
- Substantiate financial transactions by auditing documents.
- Maintain accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures.
- Guide accounting clerical staff by coordinating activities and answering questions.
- Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.
- Secure financial information by completing database backups.
- Verify, allocate, post, and reconcile transactions.
- Prepare error-free accounting reports and present results to head office.
- Prepare financial statements and produce budget according to schedule.
- Support month-end and year-end close process.
- Maintain digital and physical records of invoices and contracts.
- Handle accounts payable and receivable.
- Resolve accounts to the general ledger.
- Collaborate with admin officer for smooth operations of the college, including contacting parents for resolution of fee and other matters.
- Handle queries related to fees and accounts.
- Review both incoming and outgoing invoices.
- Work closely alongside the management to ensure the delivery of comprehensive advice on financial strategies and projects.
- Support the establishment and maintenance of a framework of accounting policies and internal financial controls.
- Take responsibility for financial management and planning within the organization.
- Perform any other task assigned by the management/supervisor.
Candidate having previous experience working as an account officer at an education institution will be preferred.
Job Specification- Adept computer skills and proficiency using Microsoft Excel.
- Advanced math skills to keep accurate records and supervise the bookkeeping of an organization.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact regularly with clients regarding sensitive topics like billing and payments.
- Excellent organization skills for maintaining clear, accurate, and meticulous financial records.
- Attention to detail for ensuring the accuracy of the company's records.
- Ability to multitask to handle multiple accounts, invoices, and payments at various stages of execution.
- Excellent efficiency for handling any accounting issues quickly with minimal interference.
