Job Description:

As an Accounts Trainee officer, you will gain hands-on experience in bookkeeping and accounting practices while working closely with our experienced team. This role is ideal for someone who is eager to learn, detail-oriented, and passionate about building a career in the financial services industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Bookkeeping: Assist in maintaining accurate financial records for clients, including data entry, ledger management, and reconciling accounts.
  2. Financial Reporting: Help prepare financial statements, reports, and summaries for review by senior team members.
  3. Accounts Payable/Receivable: Support the management of accounts payable and receivable, including invoicing, processing payments, and following up on outstanding balances.
  4. Bank Reconciliations: Perform regular bank reconciliations to ensure accurate cash flow tracking.
  5. Client Communication: Assist in communicating with clients to gather necessary financial information and respond to basic inquiries.
  6. Compliance: Learn and adhere to relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
  7. Software Utilization: Gain proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero, MYOB) and other relevant tools.
  8. Administrative Support: Provide general administrative support to the accounting team as needed.
Qualifications:
  1. ACCA Finalist/Qualified, MBA Finance, BSc Honors Finance.
  2. Experience: 0-1 year.
  3. Outstanding knowledge of MS Office; knowledge of XERO software is a plus.
  4. Excellent communication/presentation skills and ability to build relationships.
  5. Organizational and time-management skills.
  6. A business acumen.
