We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Microsoft Azure Administrator to join our IT Infrastructure team. The ideal candidate will have extensive expertise in Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD), cloud infrastructure management, Microsoft 365 administration, and system administration. This role requires strong technical skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and the ability to manage and optimize a secure, scalable, and high-performing cloud environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Azure Environment Management:
  • Deploy, configure, and manage Azure Virtual Machines (VMs), including upgrades, patching, and performance optimization.
  • Design, configure, and maintain Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) environments for optimal user experience.
  • Monitor and maintain Azure infrastructure, ensuring high availability, security, and scalability.
  • Microsoft 365 Administration:
  • Manage and configure Microsoft 365 tenants, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Teams.
  • Handle Microsoft 365 license allocation and management.
  • Ensure compliance with Microsoft 365 Security & Compliance Center standards.
  • System Administration:
  • Oversee on-premises and cloud-based servers, backups, and recovery processes.
  • Implement system monitoring, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
  • Maintain user accounts, permissions, and group policies.
  • Intune & Endpoint Management:
  • Deploy and enroll devices into Microsoft Intune for endpoint security and configuration management.
  • Apply and enforce device compliance policies.
  • Security & Compliance:
  • Implement and maintain Azure Security Center policies, identity management, and access control.
  • Ensure infrastructure meets compliance requirements (ISO, GDPR, etc.).
  • User Support & Ticket Management:
  • Respond to and resolve incidents and service requests via the company's ticketing system.
  • Provide Level 3 support for escalated technical issues.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in Azure Administration and System Administration.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, including VM deployment, scaling, backup, and recovery.
  • Proven experience with Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) configuration and management.
  • Expertise in Microsoft 365 tenant administration, license management, and security compliance.
  • Proficiency with Intune enrollment and endpoint device management.
  • Experience with ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira, Freshservice, or similar).
  • Solid understanding of networking concepts, Active Directory, and Group Policy Management.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Certifications (Preferred but not required):

  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104)
  • Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate (MD-100/MD-101)
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305)
