Senior Estimator – Construction (Hybrid or Remote)

Location: Hybrid (NY/NJ area preferred) or Fully Remote (U.S.-based candidates)

YOU NEED EXTENSIVE. We're growing — and we're looking for an experienced Senior Estimator who's ready to take the lead on high-value projects and be part of a results-driven team that supports contractors, developers, and builders across the U.S.

About the Role:

As a Senior Estimator, you'll be responsible for preparing accurate, detailed, and competitive construction cost estimates — from conceptual budgets to full construction takeoffs — across a wide range of commercial and residential projects. You'll collaborate with our internal team and interface with clients to ensure precision, professionalism, and profitability.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review construction drawings, specs, and RFPs for scope and accuracy
  • Perform detailed quantity takeoffs (CSI Divisions, MEP, concrete, architectural, etc.)
  • Develop estimates using software (Planswift, Bluebeam, Excel, etc.)
  • Communicate directly with clients for scope clarifications
  • Lead and mentor junior estimators (if applicable)
  • Support bid strategies, value engineering, and cost-saving solutions
  • Maintain and update unit cost databases
  • Ensure all estimates include labor, material, overhead, profit, and tax markups
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in construction estimating (commercial or residential)
  • Strong proficiency in estimation tools (e.g., Planswift, On-Screen Takeoff, Bluebeam)
  • Deep understanding of building systems, construction processes, and trades
  • Ability to interpret architectural/MEP plans with attention to detail
  • Strong communication and analytical skills
  • Experience with U.S. building codes and pricing (preferred)
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or equivalent (preferred)
