We are on the hunt for a seasoned Backend Engineer with a strong background in TypeScript and the NestJS framework. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in building robust microservices, designing optimal database structures, and implementing top-notch security practices. If you have a knack for designing performant and secure backend systems that can scale, and have previously integrated financial systems, you could be the perfect fit for our team.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain backend systems using NestJS, TypeScript, and other relevant technologies.
  • Design and implement GraphQL APIs in accordance with business requirements.
  • Create and manage ledger and transaction systems using MongoDB.
  • Ensure the security, scalability, and performance of backend systems.
  • Collaborate with front-end developers and other team members to deliver high-quality products.
  • Conduct or facilitate vulnerability assessments and penetration tests to identify and mitigate security risks.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and best practices in backend development.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Backend Engineer, with strong proficiency in TypeScript and NestJS.
  • Solid experience in building and managing microservices.
  • Expertise in database design and optimization, preferably with MongoDB.
  • Strong understanding of security practices and vulnerability assessment.
  • Experience in developing GraphQL and REST APIs.
  • Familiarity with financial systems integration is a plus along with knowledge of general purpose API integration lifecycle.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
Preferred Skills
  • Problem solving mindset, passionate about designing computer systems and technology.
  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork abilities, learn and grow together mindset.
  • Knowledge of AI and Blockchain will be a plus.
  • Familiarity with front-end technology.
  • Strong experience with MongoDB transactions, NestJS microservices.
  • Familiarity with deployment platforms like GCP, AWS and scaling the servers through containers.
  • Experience in the fintech domain - integrations with financial systems of entities like 1Link, banks, and processors.
  • Ability to cooperate with cross-functional teams and work as a team player.
