Context on the Role

We're seeking a talented Automation Engineer to join our team and take the lead on streamlining and scaling our internal systems — starting with our QA and testing workflows and expanding to broader business automation initiatives. You'll work closely with Engineering, DevOps, and cross-functional teams to design and implement automation solutions that improve speed, reliability, and productivity across the company.

How You'll Make an Impact

In this role, you'll play a key role in improving efficiency across the organisation — directly impacting our speed and quality of operating, reducing costs and as a result, impacting business growth.

• Design and Implement Automation Solutions:
  Build robust software tools and scripts to automate repetitive engineering and business processes, improving efficiency and reducing manual workload.
  • Develop and Maintain Custom Automation Tools:
    Create and support internal applications that streamline data processing, reporting, and operational workflows across teams.
    • Integrate Automation Across Systems:
      Work with stakeholders to connect automation solutions with existing platforms and services, ensuring seamless data flow and process consistency.
      • Drive Process Improvement:
        Analyse current workflows to identify automation opportunities, then deliver practical solutions that address real business needs.
        • Scale Automation Initiatives:
          Standardise and document automation practices, enabling solutions to be adopted and maintained across multiple teams and departments.

• Cloud & Infra: AWS (EC2, IAM, S3, EKS, Lambda), Terraform, Kubernetes, Docker, Linux
• CI/CD & Monitoring: GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, ELK Stack
• Web & Databases: Node.js, Python, Postgres, MongoDB Atlas, Snowflake, Redis
• Others: Helm, Nginx, Varnish, Ansible, Vault, SaltStack

What We're Looking For

• Expertise typically equivalent to 0-4 years of work in software engineering roles with a strong focus on automation
• Self-starter mindset, comfortable with ownership and ambiguity in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency with scripting languages (Python, Shell, etc.) and automation frameworks
• Familiarity with QA/test automation tools and CI/CD practices
• Familiarity of infrastructure concepts — containers, microservices, and orchestration
• Experience with tools from our tech stack (see above) is a strong plus
• Decent English communication to work across a multi-cultural, remote team

Bonus if you have

• Experience deploying or integrating LLM-based or AI-powered tools into workflows
• Basic financial acumen or an understanding of working in fintech, SaaS, or high-growth startups (e.g., credit scoring, interest, accruals, compounding, Shariah-
