About the Role:

We are looking for a part-qualified UK Accountant with strong experience in Xero, credit control, bookkeeping, and account reconciliations. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of hands-on accounting experience, excellent English communication skills, and a solid understanding of standard accounting and bookkeeping practices within the UK.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in Xero.
  • Perform credit control duties, including chasing overdue payments and maintaining debtor ledgers.
  • Manage daily bookkeeping tasks such as sales and purchase ledger, invoicing, and expense tracking.
  • Prepare bank, supplier, and customer account reconciliations.
  • Process and manage invoices, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
  • Support in the preparation of VAT returns, financial statements, and management reports.
  • Liaise with UK-based clients and stakeholders, requiring clear and professional English communication.
Key Requirements:
  • Minimum 2 years of accounting/bookkeeping experience, preferably for UK-based companies or clients.
  • Part-qualified (ACCA, AAT, CIMA) or equivalent (preferred).
  • Proficient in Xero accounting software.
  • Strong knowledge of credit control processes.
  • Experience with invoicing, reconciliations, and general bookkeeping tasks.
  • Excellent written and spoken English.
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
