Purpose

To perform all trade financing related tasks.

Education

ACCA Affiliate/ BBA Finance with 1-2 Years of relevant experience.

Experience
  • Understanding of financial analysis concepts and techniques enabling high level critical thinking to identify links and discern critical issues.
  • Ability to analyze and challenge the financial information.
  • Understanding of cash management, trade finance, and treasury management skills.
  • Knowledge of advanced MS Excel techniques and skills to organize and analyze data.
  • Knowledge of accounting and SAP for proper record keeping.
  • Effective communication and influencing skills required for liaison with banks.
Responsibilities
  • Scrutiny of documents received for Airway Bill/Bill of Lading endorsement on a timely basis, preparation of requests, and submission to the bank.
  • Arrange and review DP against requested documents.
  • Execute AWB/BL endorsement requests to ensure endorsed documents are received timely against cash margin (if required). Ensure that the margin is held in savings accounts.
  • Review document intimation requests received from banks.
  • Prepare and submit documents to banks for processing in a timely manner.
  • Settle requested documents after negotiating the best foreign rates with treasury.
  • Ensure cash margin is released if held against requested documents at the time of endorsements.
  • Review relevant LC/Amendment requests promptly.
  • Prepare and submit requested documents to banks efficiently.
  • Share vendor comments, bank queries, and obtain SWIFT messages from banks to share with relevant departments. Ensure simultaneous issuance of FI against LC.
  • Maintain proper MIS of all data for record keeping, ensuring compliance with data retention policies and analyzing TAT.
  • Maintain strong banking relationships with the trade teams of banks for timely transaction execution.
  • Post entries in SAP promptly with proper data maintenance.
  • Improve processes by aligning relevant departments to ensure smooth transaction processing.
