The Senior Project Manager will oversee the project management office (PMO), driving excellence in project delivery, resource management, and operational efficiency. This role requires a strategic leader with a deep understanding of project management methodologies, a strong ability to manage cross-functional teams, and the skills to align project outcomes with business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership and Strategy:

1. Leads project operations team, setting clear objectives and performance standards.
2. Develop and implement project management strategies, align with company vision and objectives.
3. Drive continuous improvement in project delivery processes, tools, and methodologies.

Team Development:

1. Mentor and develop project managers and coordinators, building a high-performing team.
2. Promote a culture of accountability, continuous learning, and professional growth.
3. Ensure the selection of top talent with the help of HR and PMO.

Stakeholder Management:

1. Engage with stakeholders to gather requirements, provide regular updates, and manage expectations across different project phases.
2. Manage relationships with key stakeholders, ensuring alignment of project goals and expectations.
3. Lead capacity planning and workforce management initiatives.

Operational Audits:

1. Ensure quality standards are met in both Agile and Waterfall projects through rigorous testing and validation processes.
2. Analyze key project documents such as the project plan, quality management plan, risk management plan, and any relevant work products.
3. Check for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with standards.
4. Identify, assess, avoid or mitigate project risks, ensuring minimal disruption to project timelines and reduced impact on project budget and quality.
5. Resolve project-related issues, collaborating with relevant stakeholders to remove roadblocks.
6. Implement robust risk management frameworks across the project portfolio.

Visibility and Reporting:

1. Foster effective communication across teams, promoting collaboration and transparency.
2. Prepare and present detailed reports on project performance, resource utilization, and operational efficiency.

Coaching & Mentoring:

1. Provide guidance and mentorship to junior project managers and team leads to enhance their skills and align with organizational goals.
2. Conduct regular one-on-one sessions to address challenges, provide constructive feedback, and set developmental goals.
3. Organize and lead training sessions or workshops to share best practices and improve team competencies.
4. Identify and nurture high-potential team members, preparing them for future leadership roles.

Requirements

Skills:

• Strong understanding of software development life cycles (SDLC) in both Agile and Waterfall contexts.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects with varying methodologies simultaneously.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Experience in stakeholder management and client-facing roles.
• Strong financial acumen with experience in budget management.
• Proven track record of successfully managing complex, large-scale projects.
• Strong leadership skills with experience in team development and performance management.
• Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira, Asana, etc.).

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in software project management.
• Proficiency in both Agile and Waterfall project management methodologies.
• Certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional), Product Owner, or equivalent are preferred.
