Job Overview:

Abacus Outsourcing is seeking an HR Data Analyst with advanced Microsoft Excel skills to support our Human Resources team. This role will focus on analyzing HR-related data to provide insights that drive strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate will be adept at manipulating and interpreting large datasets, leveraging Excel's full capabilities to extract meaningful patterns, trends, and performance metrics that support HR initiatives such as recruitment, employee retention, performance analysis, and workforce optimization.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Advanced HR Data Analysis & Reporting
2. Complex Formulas & Functions: Utilize advanced Excel formulas such as VLOOKUP, HLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, and logical functions to analyze HR data, including employee performance, turnover rates, recruitment efficiency, and compensation trends.
3. Data Cleaning & Validation: Ensure HR data accuracy by implementing robust data validation rules, performing data cleansing, and maintaining consistent datasets for analysis.
4. Workforce Analytics: Analyze and track employee performance metrics, headcount trends, retention rates, and other key HR indicators to provide actionable insights for HR strategies.
5. Employee Trends Analysis: Utilize Excel to identify patterns in employee behavior, engagement, and retention, providing data-backed recommendations to enhance HR practices.
6. HR Dashboards & Visualization: Create insightful and visually appealing HR dashboards using Excel charts and other visualization tools, offering clear, actionable reports for HR leadership.
7. Advanced HR Tools in Excel:
8. Power Query & Power Pivot: Leverage Power Query to clean, import, and shape HR data from multiple systems and sources. Build data models using Power Pivot and DAX to create detailed reports and advanced analytics for HR stakeholders.
9. "What-If" Analysis: Use Excel's "What-If" analysis tools (Scenario Manager, Goal Seek, Solver) to model various HR scenarios, such as workforce planning, compensation analysis, and the impact of turnover on business performance.
10. HR Metrics & KPI Reporting: Develop automated reports and presentations of HR metrics, such as employee satisfaction, diversity and inclusion, training effectiveness, and recruitment funnel performance. Monitor trends and provide recommendations to HR leadership based on data findings.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Human Resources, Data Science, Business Analytics, Statistics, or related disciplines).
• Experience: Previous experience in HR analytics, workforce analytics, or a similar data-driven HR role is highly desirable.
• Skills:
• Expertise in Microsoft Excel, including advanced data manipulation, formulas, Power Query, Power Pivot, and data visualization techniques.
• Familiarity with HR metrics, key performance indicators (KPIs), and employee data analysis.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data insights into actionable recommendations for HR management.
• Effective communication skills to present data-driven insights to both technical and non-technical HR stakeholders.
• Proactive, results-driven mindset, with a focus on optimizing HR processes through data.
