Job Location: Gurgaon, Hyderabad, Bangalore

Responsibilities
  • Filing and Reporting: Oversee the preparation and timely filing of federal, state, and local tax returns. Ensure all tax liabilities are accurately reported and paid.
  • Documentation: Maintain thorough and accurate documentation to support all tax filings.
  • Regulatory Adherence: Stay updated with changes in tax laws and regulations and ensure compliance with these changes.
  • Tax Strategy Development: Develop and implement effective tax strategies to minimize tax liabilities and optimize the company's tax position.
  • Advisory Role: Provide guidance on tax implications for business decisions, mergers, acquisitions, and other transactions.
  • Forecasting: Project future tax liabilities and assist in financial planning and budgeting processes.
  • Internal Audits: Conduct periodic internal audits to ensure compliance with tax policies and identify areas of risk.
  • External Audits: Manage relationships with external auditors, including the IRS and state tax authorities, and oversee responses to tax audits and inquiries.
  • Dispute Resolution: Address and resolve any tax disputes or issues that arise.
  • Leadership: Lead and manage a team of tax professionals, providing guidance, training, and development opportunities.
  • Workflow Management: Assign tasks, monitor progress, and ensure that deadlines are met.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, such as finance, accounting, and legal, to ensure comprehensive tax compliance and strategy integration.
  • Tax Reporting: Prepare and review tax provision calculations and related disclosures for financial statements.
  • Analysis: Analyze tax data and trends to provide insights and recommendations for business decisions.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate tax-related risks to the organization.
  • Systems Management: Implement and manage tax software and systems to streamline tax processes.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously seek ways to improve tax processes and increase efficiency through automation and best practices.
  • Tax Policies: Develop and implement tax policies and procedures to ensure consistent and compliant tax practices across the organization.
  • Education and Training: Provide education and training to staff on tax-related matters and policy changes.
  • Communication: Serve as the main point of contact between the organization and tax authorities.
  • Representation: Represent the company in tax-related discussions and negotiations with external stakeholders.
