Position: Assistant Manager SecOps

Systems Ltd is seeking an experienced and proactive Assistant Manager – Security Operations to join our Security Operations Center (SOC). This role involves monitoring, detecting, responding to security incidents, and contributing to the continuous improvement of our security posture. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in incident triage, threat intelligence, and managing escalations, with strong technical and investigative skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor security systems, detect unauthorized access, and report suspicious activities

  • Conduct regular security assessments and risk analysis to identify vulnerabilities

  • Investigate incidents to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions

  • Lead escalations and coordinate effective response actions

  • Share expertise with team members and provide guidance on security topics

  • Convert threat intelligence into actionable detection content

  • Participate in table-top exercises, ethical hacking, and event triage preparation

  • Create reports for SOC admins, business stakeholders, and IT/security leadership

  • Recommend and implement improvements to enhance security standards

  • Keep security systems up to date and contribute to the organization's security strategy

  • Document incidents and contribute to incident response and disaster recovery plans

  • Develop and document new detection and response techniques

  • Perform vulnerability research and recommend hardening strategies

  • Hunt for risks in the environment and drive mitigation actions

  • Educate internal teams on relevant threats and prevention techniques

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)

  • Minimum 4 years of progressive experience in SOC analysis, security research, or ethical hacking

  • Experience in leading cross-functional teams in a security operations setting

  • Proficient in tools like QRadar, ELK Stack, EDR, XDR, and other monitoring solutions

  • Hands-on expertise in incident response, forensics, and threat intelligence

  • Relevant certifications such as CEH, CHFI, OSCP, or equivalent

  • Strong knowledge of security frameworks and standards such as ISO 27001 and CIS Controls

  • Excellent analytical, communication, and documentation skills
