Zephyr Power Limited is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Tax Officer to join our team in Karachi. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in the field of taxation, preferably in the renewables and environment industry. As a Tax Officer, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing the company's tax liabilities and ensuring compliance with all tax regulations.

Responsibilities:
1. Prepare and review tax calculations, estimates, and reports on a timely basis.
2. Ensure compliance with all tax laws and regulations, including preparation and submission of tax returns.
3. Conduct research on tax issues and stay updated with the latest tax laws and regulations.
4. Identify tax-saving opportunities and implement strategies to minimize the company's tax liabilities.
5. Liaise with external auditors and tax authorities regarding tax audits and disputes.
6. Provide support and guidance to internal stakeholders on tax-related matters.
7. Assist in the development and implementation of tax planning strategies.
8. Keep track of changes in tax legislation and update management on potential impacts.

Job Specification

1. Strong knowledge of tax laws and regulations.
2. Experience in tax planning and compliance.
3. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
4. Attention to detail and accuracy in performing tax calculations.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
7. Proficiency in MS Office, especially MS Excel.
8. Familiarity with tax software and SAP systems.
