OThe Income Tax Accountant is responsible for managing, preparing, and filing tax returns in compliance with federal, provincial, and local tax laws. This role ensures accurate calculation of tax liabilities, supports audits, provides advisory on tax planning, and keeps the organization updated with current tax regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and file monthly, quarterly, and annual tax returns in compliance with applicable tax laws.
  • Maintain accurate tax records and documentation for internal and external audits.
  • Ensure timely payment of income tax, sales tax, withholding tax, and other statutory obligations.
  • Conduct regular tax reconciliations and prepare reports for management review.
  • Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations, advising management on potential impacts.
  • Provide support during tax audits and coordinate with external auditors/authorities.
  • Review vendor/customer transactions to ensure compliance with tax withholding requirements.
  • Develop tax strategies to minimize tax liability and ensure cost efficiency.
  • Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes by incorporating tax considerations.
  • Liaise with government departments, tax consultants, and legal advisors on tax-related matters.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or related field (Master's preferred).
  • Professional certification such as CA Inter, ACCA, ICMA, or equivalent will be an advantage.
  • Minimum 2 years of proven experience in taxation and accounting.
  • Strong knowledge of local and international tax regulations.
  • Proficiency in accounting/tax software and MS Office (Excel expertise is a must).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: Rs30,000.00 - Rs35,000.00 per month

Expected hours: No more than 15 per week

Work Location: In person
