We are looking for a Senior Manager/Director of Content Licensing & Acquisition based at our Islamabad office. The Senior Manager will be responsible for identifying and negotiating partnerships with studios, content creators, distributors, and other stakeholders to ensure a diverse and engaging content library. They will lead the process of acquiring and licensing media content, including films, TV shows, documentaries, and digital assets, and will support strategy, deal negotiation, execution, and management.

The ideal candidate should possess strong critical thinking skills, attention to detail, and an entrepreneurial mindset within a structured environment. They should be comfortable working autonomously in a fast-paced setting, managing multiple projects, and finding creative solutions with partners under tight deadlines. A self-starter with a passion for discovering quality content globally is essential.

Responsibilities
  1. Develop and implement a content acquisition strategy aligned with organizational goals.
  2. Identify content categories, genres, and formats that match market trends and audience preferences.
  3. Seek potential content partners including studios, production companies, distributors, and independent creators.
  4. Evaluate partnership opportunities based on quality, relevance, and commercial potential.
  5. Perform due diligence through market research and financial analysis to assess partnership viability.
  6. Build a content pipeline targeting specific genres and verticals such as local drama and film.
  7. Lead negotiations with content partners to secure favorable licensing and acquisition terms.
  8. Coordinate with legal and finance teams on contracts covering rights, royalties, and distribution.
  9. Review content proposals and licensing terms, providing data-driven recommendations to senior management.
  10. Monitor content performance, viewership, and audience engagement metrics.
  11. Conduct financial analysis and forecasting to evaluate revenue potential and ROI of deals.
  12. Research market trends, audience preferences, and emerging content formats.
  13. Build and maintain strong relationships with content partners for long-term collaboration.
  14. Collaborate with internal teams to curate and promote content aligning with brand and audience.
Qualifications
  1. Bachelor's degree in business, media, communications, or related field; master's preferred.
  2. 5-8 years of experience in content licensing, acquisition, or business development in media or entertainment, especially inflight entertainment.
  3. Strong negotiation skills and experience structuring licensing agreements.
  4. Knowledge of licensing models, industry trends, and emerging platforms, particularly for inflight entertainment.
  5. Understanding of media consumption patterns and audience preferences.
  6. Familiarity with legal and contract management processes.
  7. Experience in market and competitive analysis, strategic planning.
  8. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills for engaging with content providers, airlines, and stakeholders.
  9. Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  10. Passion for media and digital content, with an eye for engaging, marketable content.
