Merchandiser Officer

The Merchandiser Officer is responsible for overseeing product development, supplier coordination, and order execution to ensure timely delivery of goods while maintaining quality, cost efficiency, and alignment with market demands. This role involves end-to-end merchandising operations, from sourcing to delivery, with a focus on optimizing profitability.

• Product Development & Sourcing
  • Research and identify suppliers/vendors for materials/products.
  • Negotiate costs, MOQs (Minimum Order Quantities), and payment terms.
  • Coordinate sample development, approvals, and tech packs.
  Order Management
  • Prepare and track Purchase Orders (POs), ensuring accuracy in specs, timelines, and pricing.
  • Monitor production schedules to meet deadlines and escalate delays.
  • Conduct pre-shipment inspections (quality, quantity, compliance).
  Supply Chain Coordination
  • Liaise with suppliers, factories, logistics teams, and QC departments.
  • Track shipments and ensure on-time delivery to warehouses/retailers.
  • Resolve issues related to delays, defects, or documentation.
  Costing & Pricing
  • Analyze cost breakdowns (materials, labor, freight) to optimize margins.
  • Update pricing sheets and compare supplier quotes for cost efficiency.
  Inventory & Sales Support
  • Monitor stock levels and recommend reorders or markdowns.
  • Collaborate with sales/marketing teams on promotions or new launches.
  • Provide sales data analysis (e.g., sell-through rates, slow-moving items).
  Reporting & Documentation
  • Maintain records of orders, invoices, and supplier contracts.
  • Generate reports on order status, cost variances, and supplier performance.
  Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Fashion Merchandising, Business, Supply Chain, or related field.
  • Experience: 2–3 years in merchandising/procurement (apparel, retail preferred).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Rs50,000.00 - Rs70,000.00 per month
