Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement ETL/ELT pipelines, data lakes, and data warehouses to support client-specific use cases.
  • Lead the development of Proof of Concepts (POCs) to demonstrate technical feasibility and value proposition.
  • Participate in client meetings, technical discovery sessions, and requirement gathering discussions.
  • Collaborate with sales teams in pre-sales activities, including solution design, proposal development, and effort estimation.
  • Work cross-functionally with internal teams (sales, product, delivery) to ensure alignment of solutions with client expectations.
  • Translate business requirements into technical specifications and data architectures.
  • Maintain high standards of data quality, governance, and performance optimization.
  • Support integration of external data sources (APIs, third-party systems) and deployment on cloud infrastructure.
  • Create documentation, user guides, and technical walkthroughs as part of service delivery.
  • Engage directly with clients for technical support, troubleshooting, and training where needed.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or related field.
  • 3–6+ years of experience in data engineering or related client-facing technical roles.
  • Proficiency in SQL, Python, and/or Scala.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms like AWS (Glue, Redshift, S3), Azure (Data Factory, Synapse), or GCP (BigQuery, Dataflow).
  • Strong understanding of data warehousing, data integration, and data modeling.
  • Experience with BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Looker is a plus.
  • Familiarity with REST APIs, JSON, and integration patterns.
  • Prior exposure to client delivery, demos, or pre-sales engagements is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to simplify technical concepts for business audiences.
