Are you purpose-led and ready to shape the future of sustainable cotton? Join Better Cotton as a Senior Programme Coordinator for Capacity Building. Play a pivotal role in driving Better Cotton's 2030 Strategy, supporting sustainable farming practices for nearly 3 million farmers across 23 countries.

The Senior Programme Coordinator will lead capacity building initiatives, manage relationships with partners, and improve sustainable practices at the farm level. Responsibilities include designing and executing field-level strategies, conducting training programs, and providing strategic guidance for large farm and regional portfolios.

The Challenge

Our 2030 targets include halving GHG emissions from cotton production, reducing synthetic pesticide use, improving soil health, increasing farm income, and empowering women farmers and workers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead partnership engagement, including onboarding, capacity building activities, and monitoring.
  • Support organizational development models for partners.
  • Research and identify social and environmental best practices.
  • Manage knowledge partners and facilitate knowledge exchange networks.
  • Develop impact area expertise and guidelines for monitoring and reporting.
  • Line manage 1-2 team members, fostering collaboration and productivity.
  • Support impact thematic areas with expertise and guidelines.
  • Handle data collection, analysis, reporting, and communication efforts.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Minimum 7+ years in development program/project management.
  • 4-6 years in capacity building and partnership management.
  • Master's degree in a relevant field.
  • Strong critical thinking, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in rural development, agriculture, and cotton farming, especially in Punjab and Sindh.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and data analysis.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
  • Knowledge of Punjabi, Sindhi, or Siraiki is a plus.
