Senior Network Security & Infrastructure Engineer

Zeta Corp is seeking a skilled Network Security & Infrastructure Administrator to oversee and manage the organization's IT infrastructure and network security. This role combines hands-on technical administration with strategic IT planning and executive-level responsibilities. The ideal candidate will ensure secure, stable, and scalable IT operations while maintaining optimal hardware and system performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and manage firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), VPNs, and endpoint protection.
  • Conduct regular security audits, vulnerability assessments, and patch management.
  • Implement and enforce network access control policies.
  • Manage threat response and incident handling procedures.
  • Maintain and optimize servers (Windows/Linux), storage systems, and network devices.
  • Oversee hardware installations, upgrades, and preventive maintenance.
  • Ensure uptime and availability through monitoring and redundancy solutions.
  • Administer virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V, or similar).
  • Support cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP) where applicable.
  • Collaborate with leadership to define IT policies, budgets, and strategic planning.
  • Document systems, licenses, and compliance records.
  • Liaise with vendors, negotiate contracts, and manage IT procurement.
  • Lead IT-related projects and supervise junior IT staff or support personnel.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience in IT infrastructure and network security administration.
  • Strong knowledge of networking protocols, firewalls, VLANs, and routing.
  • Proficiency in system administration (Linux/Windows servers).
  • Experience with enterprise backup systems, monitoring tools, and virtualization.
