Job Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Procurement Assistant to support the purchasing and procurement operations of our organization. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of experience in a procurement or administrative role and hold a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. This role plays a key part in ensuring timely and cost-effective purchasing of goods and services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation and processing of purchase orders and requisitions
  • Maintain and update supplier and vendor records in procurement systems
  • Communicate with vendors to obtain quotes, track orders, and ensure timely delivery
  • Support in evaluating supplier performance and maintaining quality standards
  • Help monitor stock levels and place orders as needed
  • Assist in comparing prices, specifications, and delivery terms
  • Ensure accurate documentation and filing of procurement-related documents
  • Coordinate with internal departments to determine procurement needs
  • Help resolve issues related to order discrepancies, delays, or returns
  • Support the Procurement Manager with reporting and administrative tasks

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in procurement, purchasing, or a related administrative role
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel)
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask
  • Familiarity with procurement software or ERP systems (preferred)
