Finance Manager for FMCG Client based in Zambia

We have a good opportunity for Finance Manager for our FMCG client based at Ndola, Zambia, Africa.

Job Title: Finance Manager

Location: Ndola, Zambia

The Finance Manager will oversee the end-to-end finance operations for its Zambia business. The ideal candidate will be responsible for financial planning, budgeting, compliance, and overall financial management, ensuring alignment with the company's strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Planning & Budgeting:

  • Develop and implement financial strategies to optimize business performance.
  • Prepare and manage annual budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Monitor cash flow and ensure effective financial planning.
  • Prepare financial statements in compliance with IFRS and local regulations.
  • Conduct variance analysis and provide insights for decision-making.
  • Present financial reports to the CFO and senior management.

Accounting & Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with local tax laws, financial regulations, and corporate policies.
  • Oversee financial audits and coordinate with external auditors.
  • Implement strong internal controls and risk management processes.

Treasury & Risk Management:

  • Manage banking relationships and oversee treasury functions.
  • Mitigate financial risks through strategic planning and compliance monitoring.

Business Strategy & Support:

  • Support senior management in strategic decision-making by providing financial insights.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and process improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive business growth.

Qualifications:

  • Chartered Accountant (CA) or a professional certification preferred.
  • 0-3 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting roles.
  • Strong knowledge of financial management, accounting principles, and local regulatory frameworks.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Exceptional leadership and team management abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with proficiency in English.
