Role purpose
The Education Counsellor provides excellent counselling services to guide international students in choosing institutions that align with their learning and career goals. Responsibilities include providing information on study opportunities, local education systems, culture, assisting with applications, facilitating enrolments, and promoting IDP products and services.

Key accountabilities

  • Achieve pipeline goals, customer satisfaction, and advocacy targets through each stage of the student journey. Promote IDP products, manage leads and applications, seek referrals, participate in events, and maintain the database.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service to students, families, and education providers. Provide clear information on admissions, processes, and qualifications, and engage proactively with stakeholders.

Required Experience

  • Experience in sales or customer service environments, with a track record of meeting targets.
  • Knowledge of the education sector, student placement into VET and universities, and immigration requirements.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications or experience as an Education Counsellor or similar role.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, fluency in English.
