oomi is a leading supplier of CRM solutions to the UK Not for Profit (NFP) sector. Currently focusing on the membership sector, oomi's client base ranges from Nautical Institute to the Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons of Glasgow. oomi has assembled one of the most experienced management teams in this sector in the UK and is now entering a period of rapid growth. oomi was first to market in the UK NFP sector with a true MS Windows application, first with a true client-server implementation, and now leads the way again with its unrivalled cloud-based, low-code platform. oomi is seeking an ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) developer to migrate data from source database to the oomi database using SQL Programming.

Job Role:

As an ETL developer, you will report to the Project Manager. As an integral member of our Client Delivery team, you will assist oomi's project team and provide your services for an individual assignment.

You will be required to analyze the source data, map source data with the oomi database, write basic code to transform data from source to oomi, test the transformed data, raise any data-related queries, and work hand-in-hand with the project team to analyze & fix any database-related issues/changes.

Responsibilities:

  • Understand Requirement Specification Document.
  • Analyze the information gathered and evaluate existing or proposed systems.
  • Import data from source database into destination system using SQL programming.
  • Test the migrated data and verify the statistics of ETL exercise.
  • Document system problems and resolutions for future reference.
  • Analyze built-in stored procedures of the software application & improve them.
  • Communicate with the client(s) directly to clarify queries.
  • Work with the development team to analyze & fix any database-related issues/changes.

Skills/Experience:

You will need to have:

  • Extensive knowledge of coding languages, including SQL and XML.
  • Three (3) years' proven experience as an ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) developer.
  • Firm understanding of the systems development life cycle (SDLC).
  • Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, with an eye for prioritization.
  • Ability to analyze a company's big-picture data needs.
  • Certification in Microsoft is a plus.
  • Organizational and good time-management skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Sound judgment and good business sense.
  • Team working ability.
  • Independence and self-reliance.
