Job Description:

Mavericks is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sr. DevOps Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC), cloud architecture, and site reliability practices. This role requires a strong problem solver with excellent communication skills who can drive our DevOps processes to ensure high availability and performance across our systems.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Infrastructure as Code (IaC):

Design, implement, and manage infrastructure using Terraform and AWS CloudFormation.

Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and management to achieve scalability and reliability.

Manage and optimize AWS cloud environments.

Debug and resolve cloud infrastructure and application issues.

Ensure security, cost-efficiency, and operational excellence in cloud deployments.

3. Site Reliability Engineering (SRE):

Implement and manage monitoring and alerting solutions using tools like Datadog, Prometheus, and Grafana.

Ensure system reliability and availability by applying SRE best practices.

Analyze and improve system performance, scalability, and reliability.

4. High Availability Systems:

Architect and maintain high-availability systems and services to meet business requirements.

Develop disaster recovery and failover strategies.

5. Collaboration and Communication:

Work closely with development, operations, and security teams to streamline CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes.

Communicate technical issues and solutions effectively to stakeholders and team members.

6. Problem Solving:

Troubleshoot complex issues across distributed systems and cloud environments.

Proactively identify and resolve potential bottlenecks and system failures.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

5+ years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or related roles.

Proven experience with IaC tools like Terraform and AWS CloudFormation.

Technical Skills:

Strong expertise in AWS cloud services.

Hands-on experience with monitoring and observability tools like Datadog, Prometheus, and Grafana.

Proficiency in CI/CD tools and practices.

Deep understanding of high-availability system architecture and design.

Soft Skills:

Exceptional problem-solving abilities.

Strong communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration tools.

Knowledge of security best practices in cloud environments.
