Research Technician II, Cancer Center

The MGH Center for Cancer Research, located at the Charlestown Navy Yard, is seeking to fill a Research Assistant position. The individual will work under the mentorship of Dr. Andrea McClatchey, gaining practical training in functional research, running experiments, analyzing data, and other laboratory functions. The candidate should possess excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and learn in a dynamic environment.
Principal duties include assisting in experiments for research projects under supervision, with a focus on understanding cancer cell therapies and conducting experiments related to schwannoma and cholangiocarcinoma heterogeneity.
Qualifications- Education: Bachelor's Degree in a related field required. Can this role accept experience in lieu of a degree? Yes.
- Experience: 1-2 years of previous research lab experience required.
- Analytical skills and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to interpret data results.
- Strong computer skills.
- Competence in research techniques and methodologies.
- Basic cell culture experience.
- Basic confocal imaging experience.
