Introduction

Tripshepherd is looking for a Data Analytics Engineer (Python Dashboard & ETL Specialist) to join its team. As an Analytics Engineer, you will be responsible for creating interactive dashboards, reporting pipelines, data cleaning processes, ongoing data maintenance, and designing scalable data storage solutions. Your work will support performance monitoring, data-driven decisions, and system optimization across multiple departments.

Mandatory Skills

Advanced Python programming skills (minimum 2–3 years)

Strong SQL proficiency for querying, transformation, and optimization

Proven experience building interactive dashboards using tools like Plotly Dash or Streamlit

Hands-on experience with ETL processes and data cleaning pipelines

Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts and schema design

Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git)

Required Skill Set

Proficient in Python for data manipulation, scripting, and automation

Experience with Pandas, NumPy, or Polars for advanced data transformation

Deep understanding of data cleaning, anomaly detection, and normalization

Data Visualization & Dashboards

Experience creating interactive dashboards using Plotly Dash, Streamlit, Bokeh or Altair (optional)

Ability to implement filtering, drill-downs, export options, and responsive UI

Experience deploying dashboards via Streamlit Cloud or Dockerized containers

Hands-on experience in designing and managing ETL pipelines

Capable of ingesting and transforming data from APIs, databases, CSV/Excel, or other formats

Knowledge of automation tools like Airflow, Prefect, or scripting-based workflows

Data Warehousing & Storage

Familiar with modern data warehouse technologies such as Amazon Redshift, Google BigQuery, Snowflake

Or traditional RDBMS like PostgreSQL, MySQL

Understanding of data modeling principles, including star/snowflake schema

General

Strong debugging, testing, and performance tuning skills

Comfortable with Git and version control workflows

Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with product, engineering, and ops teams

Excellent written and verbal communication skills
