Port Qasim, Karachi, Pakistan

Shift:

12-hour rotational shifts.

YOU ARE GOOD AT:

  • Operation and maintenance of Powerhouse, electrical Substation, and Infrastructure's MV and LV equipment, but not limited to (generators, MV/LV switchgear, transformers, PFI panels, etc.)
  • Troubleshooting electrical faults and ensuring system reliability.
  • Implementation of electrical safety protocols and standards.
  • Coordination with technicians and contractors for repairs and upgrades.
  • Preventive maintenance and reporting of all electrical installations/assets.
  • Job planning, inventory management, team management, and record keeping.

YOU BRING (Qualification, Experience & Skills):

  • B.E. in Electrical Engineering. Masters degree would be an added advantage.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in power house operations and electrical maintenance.
  • Strong knowledge and hands-on experience of HT/LT systems, generators, switchgears, transformers, protection devices, control wiring, and schemes
  • Ability to work under pressure and during emergencies, which includes all weather conditions as well.
  • Strong knowledge of maintenance best practices, including preventive and predictive maintenance techniques.
  • Solid understanding of health and safety regulations and the ability to enforce them effectively.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal, to liaise with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and IBM Maximo maintenance planning and inventory software or SAP/Fusion; familiarity with these tools is an added advantage.
  • Proficient in using testing hardware, tools, and software.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, technical manuals, and specifications.
