Financial analysts are responsible for tracking a company's financial performance against a plan, analyzing business performance and market conditions to create forecasts, and helping senior management make tactical and strategic decisions by providing periodic reports.

Responsibilities

  1. Prepare, analyze, and review Monthly COGS Report and make corrections to drive accurate margins.
  2. Prepare Activity-Based Budget for OPEX at store level based on function and department and consolidate into Annual Master Budget.
  3. Prepare Monthly Income Tax Summary and provide all necessary data to Tax Team.
  4. Analyze margin trends for all departments of ISM.
  5. Prepare key metrics and KPIs of the company.
  6. Charge direct expenses accurately and review GLs every month.
  7. Create and maintain ad-hoc analyses to support decision-making.
  8. Identify opportunities and gaps to suggest value addition and process improvements.
  9. Analyze past financial performance, economic indicators, competitor analysis, and market trends.
  10. Review Monthly Opex Board at GL level and drive corrections for accurate reporting.
  11. Monitor moving average of trading articles and make corrections.
  12. Monitor COGS GL and make corrections.
  13. Assess category/vendor-wise profitability and drive profitability for critical vendors and top categories.
  14. Drive all relevant income from GLs and support P&L finalization.
  15. Manage other income and non-operating income.
  16. Establish business partnerships with assigned sections.
  17. Perform any additional tasks assigned by the line hierarchy in the finance division.
  18. Monitor moving average trading articles and make corrections.
  19. Maintain healthy business partnerships with assigned sections.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Economics, or Finance, or qualified professional (CMA/ACCA).
  • 1-3 years' experience in finance, preferably in financial or management reporting.
  • Proficient in Trail Balance to P&L formation.
