Job Responsibilities
  1. Meet annual targets assigned by the HOD.
  2. Work towards targets set by the Dean/Principal to secure a high-quality teaching and learning environment for students.
  3. Teach assigned courses as per faculty workload policy.
  4. Develop teaching and learning skills and contribute to the planning of teaching programs.
  5. Employ innovative teaching strategies and facilitate experiential learning during lessons.
  6. Challenge thinking, foster debate, and develop students' critical discourse and rational thinking abilities.
  7. Supervise student projects, field trips, and placements where appropriate.
  8. Set, mark, and assess work and examinations, providing feedback to students.
  9. Maintain records of students' academic performance for internal evaluation in examinations.
  10. Mentor 15 to 20 students as per the Riphah Mentoring Program.
  11. Update data in VLE and other required software as needed.
  12. Incorporate Islamic and ethical values in teaching; participate in departmental and university committee activities as required.
  13. Ensure teaching content and methods align with RIU mission and respond to subordinate and student needs.
  14. Supervise/randomly check student attendance in classes/labs/practicals.
  15. Write or contribute to publications or disseminate research findings through appropriate media.
  16. Seek practical applications of research findings.
  17. Conduct independent research and act as principal investigator and project leader.
  18. Supervise the work of others in research teams and projects, or serve as a PhD supervisor when required.
  19. Perform any additional duties assigned by the Head.
