Position Overview

As a Smart contract auditor at BlockApex, you will play a key role in safeguarding decentralized applications and protocols, focusing on building secure solutions that protect end-users. In this role, you will rigorously inspect and test smart contracts primarily in Solidity and Rust for a varied range of protocols. Your work will directly impact the integrity and security of the Web3 ecosystem. Collaborating with top engineers and security experts, you'll tackle emerging threats head-on and build innovative solutions that give developers and users peace of mind.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in smart contract auditing, security analysis, and vulnerability detection
  • Strong knowledge of blockchain, cryptography, and secure coding practices
  • Critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct realistic adversary simulations from conception through reporting.
  • Perform testing on systems, applications, networks, and processes.
  • Research cutting-edge offensive security techniques.
  • Develop tools and exploits.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively, both written and orally, regarding risks and required remediations.
  • Work collaboratively and independently on unique or specialized assignments requiring specific knowledge or experience.
  • Comply with Company, Division, and Professional ethical standards.
  • Document findings with actionable recommendations.

What We're Looking For:


• Technical Proficiency: Solid grounding in writing and analyzing Solidity and Rust programs.


• Audit Experience: Demonstrated background in conducting security audits for smart contracts.


• Blockchain Savvy: Proficient knowledge of blockchain and smart contract implementations.


• Security Mindset: Knowledge of blockchain security norms, defensive coding and exploit development.


• Testing Expertise: Comfortable employing automated testing methodologies to validate contract functionality and resilience.


• Documentation Skills: Aptitude for producing clear, comprehensive reports that detail findings, evidence, and recommended improvements for both technical and non technical audience.

Good to Have:

  • Offensive Security: Experience in penetration testing (web, mobile, dApps).
  • Experience in WASM/BPF is a plus.
  • Practical reverse engineering and fuzzing experience is a plus.
  • Certifications: CEH, OSCP, or equivalent security credentials.
  • DeFi Expertise: Understanding of lending platforms, AMMs, yield farming, and related protocols.
  • Community Contributions: Published research, open-source projects, or conference talks.
