Being a Trainee Design & Proposal Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical information and guidance in the design, improvement, and proposal of systems. You may collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful execution of initiatives, meeting client needs, industry standards, and company objectives. Your primary focus will be on developing innovative design solutions, preparing technical proposals, and contributing to the growth and success of the company. You will ensure proper and timely submission of techno-commercial proposals for assigned projects. Additionally, you will be responsible for training and mentoring new hires and interns.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Providing technical and commercial pre-sales support to achieve strategic targets.
  2. Collaborating with international teams to develop customer-centric solutions and managing daily departmental activities.
  3. Enhancing sales team effectiveness by supporting international technical teams and developing integrated systems and tools.
  4. Aligning with internal stakeholders to ensure project completion within agreed timelines.
  5. Reviewing and analyzing RFQs concerning technical and commercial requirements, and proposing turn-key solutions (Electrical and Process Automation).
  6. Ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, and ethical standards in all business conduct and bid processes.
  7. Executing international bids and proposals while minimizing risks.
  8. Strategizing during the pre-sales cycle to mitigate risks and impact on project execution.
  9. Collaborating with OEMs to track Capex programs and ensure user specifications are met.
  10. Leading efforts in detailed Capex/Sales planning related to automation solutions and services.
  11. Guiding the team towards optimal solutions acceptable to customers.
  12. Training new team members on available solutions and introducing new market solutions.
  13. Sharing knowledge through documentation and training sessions.
  14. Analyzing key accounts, developing penetration strategies, and executing tactics to increase market share.
  15. Diagnosing, documenting, and resolving customer problems with seamless solutions, and validating value delivery.
  16. Understanding contractual terms and conditions and negotiating effectively with customers.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Graduate in Electrical, Electronics, or Mechatronics Engineering.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience.
  • Experience with various control system makes, DCS, and SCADA.
  • Proficient in spoken and written English.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD and 3D Modeling is preferred.
  • Good understanding of oil and gas industry standards and P&ID diagrams.
