Responsible for providing academic support to schools in the area and enhancing the quality of education in line with TCF policies and procedures.

Overall Area Leadership
  • Responsible for the academic leadership and management of schools and the cohort of Principals.
  • Ensure improvements in SSR, fee collection, and fleet management. Manage the Area Administrator for administrative duties & academic data management (analysis, verification & preservation).
Relationship Management
  • Maintain communication with community members, encourage the use of community resources, and facilitate schools as needed. Encourage Principals to communicate effectively with Parents and attend Parent-Student meetings. Liaise with donors regarding education activities.
  • Coordinate with other AEMs to foster collaboration, seek feedback, and share best practices for regional development.
Quality of Principal
  • Strengthen the Principal cohort to improve quality.
  • Collaborate with the RHR Manager in recruiting quality local Principals, including participation in Assessment Centers.
  • Ensure participation in PQI visits, provide academic feedback, and monitor continuous improvement through appraisals and PIP support where applicable.
Quality of Teacher
  • Enhance Teacher quality through content (TCT) and pedagogy.
  • Assist Principals in recruiting and outreach, especially in difficult locations. Approve Teacher transfers and promotions.
  • Conduct at least one classroom observation per visit, providing consistent feedback.
Quality of Schools
  • Create action plans for struggling schools, implement, and follow up for improvement.
  • Develop strategies for area improvement through AIP, aligned with overall school and area development goals.
