Principal Engineer, Maintenance, RCP

Location: Rakh Canal Plant, Faisalabad

Reports to: Manager Maintenance, RCP

Direct Reports: approximately 80

As Principal Engineer, Maintenance, you will oversee planning, monitoring, and controlling operations, maintenance, projects, resources, and staff with expertise in an effective and efficient manner.

What Will You Do
  1. Operation & Maintenance: Possess expertise in mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, civil, and utility systems, including compressors, cooling towers, pumps, gears, conveyors, sifters, dryers, elevators, mills, centrifuges, fans, motors, switchgears, generators, 132 KV grid stations, and basic instrumentation & PLC/DCS systems. Knowledge of maintenance methodologies like Reliability Centered Maintenance, Condition-Based Maintenance, and Time-Based Maintenance.
  2. Project Management: Design mechanical and electrical systems, modify systems as needed, manage capex projects, and control cash flows to meet project timelines.
  3. Inventory Management: Manage inventory systems, evaluate critical store items, develop machine parts lists, and follow up on deliveries.
  4. Contractor Management: Coordinate with contractors, develop contracts, evaluate bids, and oversee billings to ensure timely project completion within budgets.
  5. People Management: Lead multidisciplinary teams, foster coordination, and promote best practices and technical guidance.
  6. Policy Compliance: Ensure adherence to company policies.
  7. Continuous Improvement: Propose and manage projects for energy conservation and process optimization, including procurement and safe execution.
  8. Stakeholder Management: Conduct training, build relationships, coordinate with procurement for cost-effective substitutes, and ensure high-quality, timely outputs.
What Will You Bring
  • B.Sc. / M.Sc. in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering
  • Experience in petrochemical, fertilizer, process, food, or cement industries
  • Minimum 10 years in O&M of electrical & mechanical systems
  • Deep knowledge of maintenance, reliability management, and team development
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP), Lean Six Sigma, MS Office, ETAB, AutoCAD & Power BI
  • Understanding of EHS, IMS, GPM, ISO, and Food Safety standards
