Job Outline
The Accounts Associate will be responsible for setting up creating accounting system on the company provided software , organizing financial records, and supporting key accounting activities like reconciliations, reporting, and payroll processing.
Job Responsibilities
• Set up and build the company's accounting system from scratch using Zoho Books.
• Ensure the system is configured to meet the organization's financial reporting and compliance needs.
• Organize and maintain accurate records of receipts, incentives, and deposits.
• Ensure proper documentation and filing of all financial transactions for easy accessibility and audits.
• Assist in data entry, ensuring accuracy in recording financial transactions.
• Perform bank reconciliations and maintain general ledger accounts.
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities by preparing necessary reports and reconciliations.
• Generate financial reports, such as income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
• Assist in preparing summaries for management review.
• Collaborate with the HR department to process employee payrolls efficiently and accurately.
• Ensure compliance with tax and statutory requirements related to payroll.
• Learn and document all accounting and financial processes
• Identify opportunities for process improvement
Job Qualifications
• Actively pursuing ACCA or a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Proficient in QuickBooks or similar accounting software (e.g., Zoho Books, Xero).
• Familiarity with CRM tools and their integration into accounting workflows.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and bookkeeping processes.
