Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated Technical Sales Engineer/Manager to drive business growth for our chemical-based products and solutions. This role combines technical expertise with sales acumen to provide tailored solutions to clients in industries such as manufacturing, water treatment, oil & gas, pharmaceuticals, or specialty chemicals. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in chemical engineering, sales, and customer relationship management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Technical Sales & Business Development:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in target markets.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients, distributors, and partners.
- Conduct product presentations, demonstrations, and technical discussions with customers.
- Prepare and deliver proposals, quotations, and sales contracts.
- Customer Support & Solution Design:
- Provide technical guidance to customers on product selection, application, and troubleshooting.
- Collaborate with R&D and engineering teams to customize solutions based on customer needs.
- Conduct product trials, performance evaluations, and follow-ups to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Market & Competitive Analysis:
- Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies.
- Provide feedback to marketing and product development teams to refine offerings.
- Sales Strategy & Revenue Growth:
- Achieve and exceed sales targets for assigned territory or accounts.
- Develop strategic sales plans to expand market share.
- Attend trade shows, conferences, and industry events to promote company products.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or related field. MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
- Experience:
- 3+ years in technical sales, business development, or application engineering within the chemical industry.
- Proven track record in B2B sales, preferably in specialty chemicals, coatings, adhesives, lubricants, or industrial chemicals, food, Pharma and Personal and Home care.
JD is very good.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong understanding of chemical formulations, applications, and industry regulations.
- Ability to interpret technical data (SDS, TDS) and communicate value propositions effectively.
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
- Self-driven, results-oriented, and capable of working independently.
- Willingness to travel (up to 30-50%) as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce).
- Knowledge of regulatory standards (REACH, OSHA, EPA).
- Multilingual abilities (if applicable to market).
