Job Identification

Basic Job Function (Summary)

To execute and implement all activities assigned by the Line Manager and also supervise team and gang for their work.

Key Result Areas / Accountabilities / Responsibilities
  • Carry out instructions given by the Line Manager.
  • Supervise Tech/Non-Tech downstream staff.
  • Be well-versed with tools/equipment.
  • Possess knowledge of the Electricity Act of Pakistan.
  • Maintain discipline among staff and handle inter-departmental correspondence.
  • Read and interpret protection schemes as per instructions of the Assistant Manager.
  • Perform assignments given by senior officers.
  • Test transformers, 11kV switchgear, and protection relays.
  • Handle testing equipment properly.
  • Assist the Line Manager during fault rectification and troubleshooting at various grids.
  • Read electrical drawings.
  • Follow safety rules and regulations.
  • Proficient in computer skills including MS Office.
Work Relationships
  • Internal: Within KE
  • External: No direct work relationship required, except with attendance officers.
Person Specifications
  • Education: DAE in Electrical Discipline from an H.E.C recognized institute.
  • Experience: 2-3 years in a public sector utility or process industry preferred; other experienced candidates are encouraged to apply.
  • Additional skills: Basic knowledge of AutoCAD, MS Word, and MS Office. Training at KE training center is recommended for freshers.
