Operations Manager (Imports & Supply Chain)

The Operations Manager will oversee the entire supply chain process, including international imports, warehouse operations, Amazon fulfillment (FBA/FBM), shipping logistics, and financial reconciliation. The role demands strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills to ensure efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities
  • Import Management:
    • Coordinate imports from China and Japan to the USA.
    • Manage relationships with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and suppliers.
    • Ensure compliance with U.S. import regulations and monitor duties/documentation.
  • Warehouse Operations:
    • Oversee daily operations across multiple warehouses.
    • Maintain inventory accuracy and optimize space usage.
    • Develop efficient warehouse workflows.
  • Amazon Supply Chain Management:
    • Manage inventory planning and restocking for Amazon FBA/FBM.
    • Collaborate with e-commerce and logistics teams to ensure product availability and delivery performance.
  • Sales & Costing Reconciliation:
    • Analyze and reconcile monthly sales and costs.
    • Work with accounting/finance teams for reporting and variance analysis.
  • Inbound & Outbound Shipping Analysis:
    • Track shipping performance metrics (e.g., lead times, freight costs).
    • Optimize carrier usage and resolve logistics bottlenecks.
Requirements
  • Experience: Proven background in operations, logistics, or supply chain, particularly in import/export.
  • Technical Skills: Strong Microsoft Excel proficiency for data analysis and reconciliation.
  • Communication: Excellent spoken and written English.
  • Amazon Expertise: Familiarity with Amazon FBA/FBM operations is mandatory.
  • Preferred Skills: Experience with warehouse systems, ERP tools, or shipping platforms.
  • Soft Skills: Independent, proactive, analytical, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities.
  • Work Schedule: Full-time, in-house, or shift-based (7 PM to 4 AM).
