Qualcomm engineering teams rely heavily on the latest EDA technologies to design and develop new products. This role offers an exciting opportunity to design and deliver a portfolio of distributed software solutions and services for core engineering teams which are used across Chipset design lifecycle. These applications require a good understanding of the semiconductor domain and development of integrations with a variety of SoC systems.
What are we looking for?
This software developer role requires hands-on experience in product development, enterprise-level integrations, expertise with Java/Python programming, NoSQL databases, messaging systems (Rabbit MQ/Kafka), with a focus on performance, scalability & security.
What will you do?
This role's responsibilities include:

• Develop software solutions used for planning, execution and optimization of chipset design

• Ensure the delivery of high-quality software solutions that meet business objectives and customer needs.

• Implement best practices for software development, including coding standards, code reviews, and automated testing.
Experience:
4 to 6 years of experience with Full stack application development with Java, Python, Angular technologies.
Skills
Must:

• Fundamentals in object-oriented design, data structures, algorithms and problem solving.

• Experience in multiple front-end languages (Javascript, Typescript, CSS3, LESS/SAAS) and libraries (Angular, React)

• Experience in multiple back-end languages (e.g. Java, Python, Javascript/Typescript) and associated frameworks (Springboot, Django/Flask, Express)

• Experience with databases (e.g. MySQL, MongoDB), web servers (e.g. Nginx)

• Experience with UI/UX design

• Good understanding of SoC development process and key exit reviews in the SoC Phase gate model.

• Experience working in a distributed team and communicating across geographic boundaries

• Ability and experience in writing reusable code and a know-how of best practices and design patterns.
Desirable:

• Experience with multiple cloud providers (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

• Knowledge of microservice architecture, Docker, and Kubernetes.

• Experience with Search frameworks (Lucene/Apache SOLR/Elastic Search)

• Intermediate level working knowledge of Redis and Elasticsearch

• Experience with messaging technologies (RabbitMQ/Kafka) and system integrations
Education Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in technical discipline or equivalent experience required.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 3+ years of IT-relevant work experience with a Bachelor's degree in a technical field (e.g., Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems).
OR
5+ years of IT-relevant work experience without a Bachelor's degree.

• 3+ years of any combination of academic or work experience with Full-stack Application Development (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript, etc.)

• 1+ year of any combination of academic or work experience with Data Structures, algorithms, and data stores.
