  1. Meet annual targets assigned by the HOD.
  2. Work towards appropriate targets set by the Dean/Principal of the University to secure a high-quality teaching and learning environment for students.
  3. Teach assigned courses as per faculty workload policy.
  4. Continue to develop your own teaching and learning skills and contribute to the planning of teaching programs.
  5. Employ innovative teaching strategies and facilitate experiential learning during lessons.
  6. Challenge thinking, foster debate, and develop students' abilities to engage in critical discourse and rational thinking.
  7. Supervise student projects, field trips, and, where appropriate, placements.
  8. Set, mark, and assess work and examinations, providing feedback to students.
  9. Maintain the record of students' academic performance for internal evaluation in the Examinations.
  10. Mentor 15 to 20 students as per the Riphah Mentoring Program.
  11. Update data in VLE and other required software as per requirements.
  12. Link and inculcate Islamic and ethical values in teaching and participate in departmental and university committee activities as required.
  13. Ensure that the teaching content and methods of delivery align with the RIU mission and respond to issues related to subordinates and student needs.
  14. Supervise/randomly check student attendance in classes/labs/practicals.
  15. Write or contribute to publications or disseminate research findings using appropriate media.
  16. Seek practical applications of research findings.
  17. Carry out independent research and act as principal investigator and project leader.
  18. Act as a line manager, supervising the work of others, for example, in research teams and projects, or as a PhD supervisor when required.
  19. Perform any additional duties assigned by the Head.
