Assistant Manager – Regulatory Reporting (Mashreq Global Network Pakistan)

The position holder will manage and administer the Regulatory Reporting, MI Reporting & Analytical platform. This role requires a deep understanding of Finance, Regulatory Reporting, and data modeling. The role includes maintaining existing regulatory reporting platforms, management reporting, and customer profitability reporting. Additionally, responsibilities may extend to data engineering and performance tuning of existing processes.

Key Result Areas

  1. Regulatory and Analytical Platform Administration: Manage and ensure the reliability and performance of the Finance Regulatory and Reporting Analytical platform.
  2. Data Management and Modeling: Design and maintain complex data models supporting analytics and reporting.
  3. Requirement Gathering and Documentation: Collaborate with business users to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  4. SDLC Oversight: Oversee all stages of software development, from planning to deployment, following change management processes.
  5. Testing and Deployment: Manage SIT and UAT phases for smooth implementation.
  6. Post-Production Support: Provide support and performance optimizations post-deployment.
  7. Cloud Services and Migration: Explore and implement cloud migration initiatives.
  8. Documentation and Knowledge Sharing: Develop documentation and provide training.
  9. Leadership: Lead projects independently, ensuring timely delivery and collaboration.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

  • 8-10 years in Regulatory Reporting with finance and banking expertise.
  • Proficiency in PL/SQL and T-SQL, including performance tuning.
  • Experience with Informatica PowerCenter 10.x or SSIS.
  • Advanced Power BI skills are advantageous.
  • Knowledge of cloud technologies and migration is beneficial.
  • Understanding of Hadoop and data engineering tools is a plus.
  • Experience with data modeling tools like ERWIN.

Business and Analytical Skills

  • Engagement with business users for requirements.
  • Understanding of SIT/UAT processes.
  • Knowledge of finance and regulatory reporting is preferred.

Project Management and Leadership

  • Ability to manage full software development lifecycle.
  • Experience in large enterprise environments.
  • Capability to lead projects independently.

Communication and Collaboration

  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in teams.
  • Familiarity with cloud strategies and post-production support.
