Job Role Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual for the position of Assistant Manager/ Manager – Risk. This individual will support the development and implementation of a comprehensive risk management framework across our portfolio of managed funds. The role entails preparing risk analytics, developing and enhancing risk models, conducting credit risk assessments, and monitoring interest rate sensitivities and market exposures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Risk Identification & Assessment: Conduct thorough analyses of financial, operational, and market data to identify existing and emerging risks across the organization's investment vehicles.
  • Model Development & Stress Testing: Assist in building, validating, and maintaining risk models to quantify exposures to market, credit, and liquidity risks, including stress testing and scenario analyses.
  • Portfolio Analytics & Reporting: Develop periodic risk analytics and quantitative reports for all funds under management, incorporating threshold monitoring, benchmark comparisons, and deviation tracking. Generate dashboards and insights for senior management and investment teams.
  • Interest Rate & Credit Risk Monitoring:Evaluate interest rate exposures and perform credit risk assessments of investment instruments, counterparties, and issuers. Track economic and sectoral developments that may influence creditworthiness.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Monitor compliance with local and international regulatory standards and internal risk limits. Collaborate with Compliance and Legal departments to address any regulatory risk issues.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration:Work closely with the Investment, Research, and Operations teams to align risk practices across the firm. Support training and awareness initiatives on risk culture and best practices.
  • Market Intelligence: Stay abreast of industry trends, macroeconomic developments, regulatory changes, and best practices in risk management frameworks and technology.

Experience

  • Minimum of 2–3 years of hands-on experience in a risk analysis, financial modelling, or investment risk-related role, preferably within the financial services industry or asset management.

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced modelling skills.
  • Familiarity with risk management software and data visualization tools.
  • Experience with quantitative tools such as Python, R, or MATLAB is desirable.
