General Summary:

We are seeking a Senior Systems Analyst to join our growing organization, specializing in IBM Planning Analytics/TM1 and possessing a functional understanding of finance budgeting and forecasting. This role involves advanced development, troubleshooting, and implementation of TM1 solutions to meet complex business requirements.

The person will be part of the Finance Planning and Reporting team, working closely with their manager to deliver TM1 planning and budgeting roadmaps for global stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Design and develop IBM Planning Analytics (TM1) solutions following standards, including writing logical, complex, efficient, and well-documented code for TM1 rules and Turbo Integrator processes. Knowledge of Python and TM1py libraries is a plus.
  2. Write business requirement specifications, define effort levels for projects/enhancements, and coordinate system tests to ensure solutions meet business needs.
  3. Work with source data using SQL, understanding data structures and writing complex queries.
  4. Understand cloud technologies, especially AWS and Databricks, which will be advantageous.
  5. Experience with client reporting and dashboard tools like Tableau, PA Web, and PAFE.
  6. Understand ETL processes and data manipulation.
  7. Work independently with minimal supervision, taking responsibility for your work and making moderate-impact decisions.
  8. Provide ongoing system support, troubleshooting, and issue resolution to ensure system performance and reliability.
  9. Communicate complex information clearly using verbal and written skills.
  10. Apply deductive and inductive problem-solving skills, often with incomplete information.
  11. Exercise creativity to innovate processes, procedures, or work products within guidelines.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of IT-relevant work experience with a Bachelor's degree, or
  • 5+ years of IT-relevant work experience without a Bachelor's degree.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 8-10 years of experience in designing, modeling, and developing enterprise performance management (EPM) applications using IBM Planning Analytics (TM1).
  • Experience leading TM1 application development, including TI scripting, MDX, rules, feeders, and performance tuning.
  • Ability to evaluate and develop efficient, cost-effective systems that meet user requirements.
  • Experience in testing phases: unit, integration, and acceptance testing.
  • Proficiency in working with global and data teams, with excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Functional understanding of finance budgeting and forecasting.
  • Knowledge of cloud technologies such as AWS and Databricks is advantageous.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and JIRA.
  • Proficiency in Python development following standards.
Educational Requirements:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in information science, computer science, business, or equivalent work experience.
